The excessive rain brought by Hurricane Ida caused damage to a home in Chatham, New Jersey. The rain brought about three inches of water in the finished basement. Ten rooms were affected, and damaged materials such as carpet, vinyl floor, concrete, panel, sheetrock, insulation, baseboards, and contents. Water also seeped into the carpet and wood floor. The homeowner needed immediate assistance to dry their home.
