At this home in Cream Ridge, New Jersey, the homeowner experienced a water softener malfunction causing 6 inches of standing water to flood the unfinished basement. The paneling, contents, concrete floors and walls were affected throughout 4 rooms. When Adam, Northeast Power Dry project manager, arrived at the residence, he noticed a strong microbial smell had already begun to develop. Once the standing water was extracted and the unsalvageable materials were disposed of to avoid any future complications, technicians set up 28 air movers, 3 air scrubbers, 3 dehumidifiers, and 1 large injectidry machine to effectively restore the home.
